Please prepare your current drafts, any committee guidelines, and key deadlines before your first session. If you submitted your draft to your chair or committee, please wait until they provide feedback to book an appointment. Payment is due at booking; cancellations need 48 hours' notice.

Meet Our Academic Coaches

Dr. Mary Kropiewnicki (Dr. K.) has extensive experience in K-12 and higher education as a faculty member and an administrator. Her experience in higher education was as a tenured professor, department chair, and assistant dean in private universities in Pennsylvania and as a dean of a College of Education in the University System of Georgia. 

Her teaching experience was in undergraduate and graduate education at both the master's and doctoral levels. She continues to teach part-time for online universities focusing on leadership, scholarly writing, qualitative methodology, and data analysis. She served as a dissertation chair and methodologist for EdD and PhD studies, and continues to fill these roles. She has also served as an IRB chair and member and a dissertation/APA editor for Proquest submissions. She has extensive experience in online course development and strategic planning. Her additional areas of expertise are in curriculum, instruction, and assessment; literacy education; strategic planning; and educational policy.

Prior to her work in higher education, Dr. K. served as an elementary and middle school teacher, a reading specialist, and an elementary and middle school principal in rural and suburban school districts in Pennsylvania and South Carolina. She worked extensively in the areas of school transformation, curriculum design, and professional development for teachers.

Dr. K attained her doctoral degree in educational administration from Temple University, where she also completed principal and superintendent certification. Prior to that, Dr. K earned a master's in reading from the University of Scranton and completed a post-master's program in curriculum and instruction supervision at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania where she also earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education with a minor in early childhood education. 

Dr. K resides in South Carolina near the coast with her many rescue pets. She enjoys reading, walking her dogs, decorating, and most of all, spending time with her two young grandchildren, whom she refers to as her "littles."
